Police said that over the past three months, Special Services investigators conducted a lengthy investigation into Christopher Macdow, 49, who was suspected of selling drugs out of his Charcoal Road home. During the investigation, police made three controlled purchases of crack cocaine from Macdow, as well as from his co-conspirator Scott Kostrna, who lives at the same address, police said.
Police executed a search and seizure warrant at Macdow's and Kostrna's Charcoal Road home on Tuesday and took both men into custody on warrants related to drug sales, police said. While searching the home, officers found more than 300 grams of cocaine packaged in 3.5 gram bags for sale, police said. They also found over 300 grams of marijuana packaged for sale, according to police. Officers seized packaging materials and drug paraphernalia, as well as a military grade ballistic vest, according to police.
Investigators also found a 12-foot trailer parked on the property that was discovered to have been stolen out of Milford in February, police said. At the time of its theft, it contained tools and other power equipment, and police said that when they discovered it, it contained several pieces of power equipment.
Macdow and Kostrna were each charged with four counts of sale of narcotics, four counts of possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating a drug factory, criminal possession of body armor and second-degree larceny. Their bonds were set at $365,000.
